PostSubject: Hannibal King   Hannibal King EmptyFri Apr 06, 2012 3:05 am

Name: Hannibal "Ghost" King

Age: 27

Gender:
Male

Personality:

Hannibal has the personality of one who has seen too much violence in his lifetime and doesn't attempt to hide it. He's always had a soft spot for the underdog and doesn't have a problem speaking his mind at any time. Mentally toughened from loss throughout his life.

Appearance:
Hannibal stands 6'3" with black hair that is a bit longer and a beard that is 3-4 inches long. He weighs about 180 pounds. Tattoo on his right bicep of the 75th Ranger Regiment emblem.

Background:
Hannibal was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to a traditional military family stationed at Fort Carson. He lived his childhood moving from town to town, country to country as his father fulfilled his assignments. Graduating high school while in Germany with his family he immediately set out for the recruiting station on base and signed up that same day. He started his career as a Cavalry Scout with the 4th Infantry Division. He wasted no time applying for Ranger training to follow the tradition in his family. Every man in his family had served as a Ranger dating all the way back to the units formation before the revolutionary war.

After the grueling training and nights without sleep he passed with flying colors and was attached to the 75th Ranger Regiment. Shortly after being accepted into the Rangers the war against terror began and he was sent to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom which he received the rank of Corporal. He later fought in Operation Anaconda which took place in the Shahi-Kot Valley. He received a purple heart for a shrapnel injury from a mortar during the operation. He also received a Bronze Star for directing fire from the AC-130 gunship to destroy the mortar emplacement and help mount the failed rescue attempt for a Navy SEAL operator lost on top of the mountain.

Upon his return from deployment, he received an invitation for a slot as an operator in the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment- Delta. He accepted and began the Selections process. After passing selections he began the 6-month training to become a Delta Force Operator. After his training was complete he was given the rank of Sergeant and placed with a squad attached to the 1st SFOD-D C Squadron. He and his squad performed direct action against enemy locations deemed too risky for the normal infantry to try and reach. He received two more purple hearts for injuries received in the field.

While gearing up for a mission, his unit was without cause sent a withdrawal command. They were being sent back to the states. Top priority. 3 days later they arrived in the states only to get ferried to link up with the 225th ID outside Springfield. Upon arrival, Hannibal and his squad are greeted by the units CIA Liaison, who quickly briefs them on the situation. Hostiles code-named "Walkers" are moving throughout the city. It was day 22 of the incident.

The following day 23, orders were handed out. They were going on the offensive. ROE was modified. Kill anything that moves. Hannibal and his squad was attached to a platoon of the 225th that was airlifted into the town eradicate the infection from inside out and link up with the main force. Engine failures forced an early landing where they were ambushed by Walkers. They began a long hard retreat that left most of the men of the platoon dead or cut off. Hannibal and his squad were cut off from each other. His squadmate James "Bandit" Grisom managed to take off with Hannibal while they maintained limited radio contact with the others. Hannibal was effectively cut off with no hope of exfil until he heard from command.

By day end they received exfil by Chinook from the city. Hannibal, Bandit, and their SL "Bones" managed to make it out along with 16 of the 40 man platoon. They made it back to camp where they were all checked for injuries by the medics without cause. 2 of the infantrymen were lead off. To where, Hannibal didn't want to know or even cared.

Day 24, Hannibal's squad is joined by a new member. Hannibal didn't care about his name. They gave him the callsign "Rookie". All the men are told to wear their gasmasks before being redeployed into the city. Hannibal and his team were inserted north of what Military Intelligence called Ground Zero. The location of John Edgars' Home. Objectives were to find anything that could shed light on the situation. No data found. No Walkers sited. They were exfiled and returned to base.

Day 25, Gasmasks on again, Hannibal and his team are sent to recon the local hospital. Grab records from the computers. Military intelligence seemed to forget that they had the power and water to the city cut. No access to the mainframe. As they made their way to rendezvous point they were caught in the middle of a one sided firefight between a group of survivors and some Walkers. Rookie was cut down by some gunfire only to be surrounded and mauled by the Walkers. Unable to do anything they retreated, trying to make the rendezvous.

Hannibal ran along with the others not keeping tracking of anything. He finally reached the exfil only to find that Bones wasn't there. Bandit had made it and they both waved off the exfil bird to look for Bones.
